Terms and Conditions

TERMS AND CONDITIONS + PRIVACY POLICY

Welcome to Event Things and Co. Paper Studio. These Terms & Conditions provide general information about the use of our website and the custom design and stationery services offered by Event Things and Co. By accessing this website or choosing to work with us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.

1. General

Event Things and Co. Paper Studio (“ETC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a custom stationery and design studio offering wedding invitations, event stationery, day-of paper goods, signage and other personalized design services.

We may update or revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect once they are published on this website.

2. Inquiries, Quotes & Consultations

Project inquiries may be submitted through our website contact form or by contacting Event Things and Co. directly. Our website is intended to showcase our work and services and does not currently operate as an e-commerce store.

Quotes are based on the project details, quantities, materials, printing methods and finishing options discussed at the time of inquiry. Unless otherwise stated, quotes are valid for 30 days and may be revised if project details, quantities, production costs or requirements change.

Pricing, timelines and project details will be confirmed before design or production begins.

3. Payments & Deposits

A deposit may be required to secure your project and begin the design process. Your project is not considered booked until the required deposit has been received.

Unless otherwise stated in your individual quote or agreement, remaining balances must be paid in full before an order is sent to production or released to the client.

Deposits and payments made toward custom design work may be non-refundable once design services have begun, materials have been ordered or production has commenced.

Additional charges resulting from changes in quantities, materials, printing methods, finishing options, shipping or other project requirements will be communicated to the client before proceeding whenever possible.

4. Custom Design, Proofs & Approval

As part of the custom design process, clients will receive digital proofs for review and approval prior to production.

It is the client’s responsibility to carefully review all details, including spelling, grammar, names, dates, times, addresses, quantities, colours and overall layout before providing final approval.

Once written approval has been received, the project will move into production. Changes requested after final approval may not always be possible and may result in additional design, production or reprinting fees.

Event Things and Co. is not responsible for errors that were present on an approved proof.

5. Revisions & Changes

Your quote or project agreement may include a specified number of design revisions. Additional revisions or significant changes to the original design direction may be subject to additional design fees.

Changes to quantities, wording, materials, colours, printing methods or finishing details may also affect the final price and production timeline.

Once a project has received final approval and entered production, changes cannot be guaranteed.

6. Turnaround Times & Client Delays

Estimated timelines will be provided based on the scope and requirements of your project. Turnaround times are estimates and may vary depending on the complexity of the design, printing method, materials, supplier availability and time of year.

Timely communication and approvals are essential to keeping your project on schedule. Delays in providing wording, guest lists, quantities, feedback, approvals or other required information may result in a change to the original completion date.

Event Things and Co. is not responsible for delays caused by late client submissions or approvals or printing delays as we do out source out printing services. We will at all time be in communication with the client about delays due to ETC or Printing.

7. Rush Orders

Rush services may be available depending on our current schedule, supplier availability and the requirements of your project.

Projects requiring completion within a shortened timeframe may be subject to a rush fee. Acceptance of a rush project is at the discretion of Event Things and Co. and cannot always be guaranteed.

8. Cancellations & Refunds

Because our products and designs are created specifically for each client, deposits, design fees and payments for work already completed may be non-refundable.

If you choose to cancel your project before production begins, please contact us as soon as possible. Any refund or remaining balance will be determined based on the amount of design work completed, materials purchased and other costs already incurred on your behalf.

Once an order has entered production, payments associated with that portion of the project are non-refundable.

Custom and personalized products cannot be returned or exchanged simply because of a change of mind.

9. Custom Orders & Natural Variations

Due to the custom nature of our work, slight variations may occur between digital proofs and finished products.

Colours displayed on a computer, tablet or mobile device may differ from the final printed colour. Results may also vary depending on paper stock, printing method, materials and production processes.

Small variations associated with handmade assembly, specialty papers, letterpress, foil, cutting, finishing techniques and other custom elements are part of the character of custom stationery and are not generally considered defects.

10. Quantities

Clients are responsible for confirming final quantities before production.

We recommend ordering additional pieces to account for last-minute additions, mailing issues, keepsakes or unexpected changes. Additional quantities requested after the original order has entered production may be subject to minimum order requirements, new setup or production fees, and different pricing.

Exact colour or material matches for pieces ordered at a later date cannot always be guaranteed.

11. Guest Lists & Addressing

When guest addressing, place cards, seating charts or other personalized pieces are included in your project, the client is responsible for providing complete and accurate information in the format requested by Event Things and Co.

Names, addresses, table assignments and other personalized information will be produced based on the information supplied by the client.

Clients are responsible for reviewing personalized information during the proofing process. Event Things and Co. is not responsible for errors contained in client-supplied lists or information that was approved before production.

Changes or corrections requested after approval may result in additional design, printing and production fees.

12. Reprints & Errors

If an error is made by Event Things and Co. and the finished product does not match the final approved proof, we will work with the client to determine an appropriate resolution.

Errors contained in an approved proof, client-supplied wording, guest lists, addresses, dates or other information are the responsibility of the client.

Reprints required because of information approved by the client will be charged accordingly, including any applicable design, material, printing, setup and shipping costs.

Any concerns regarding an order should be brought to our attention as soon as possible after receiving the finished pieces.

13. Shipping, Delivery & Pickup

Shipping, delivery and pickup arrangements will be confirmed as part of your project.

Once an order has been transferred to a third-party courier or shipping provider, delivery times are outside the direct control of Event Things and Co.

While we take care to package orders appropriately, delays, loss or damage caused during third-party shipping may be subject to the policies and claims process of the applicable carrier.

Clients are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Additional shipping costs resulting from an incorrect or incomplete address may be the responsibility of the client.

14. Event Date & Delivery Planning

Clients are responsible for providing an accurate event date and allowing sufficient time for design, production, delivery and, where applicable, mailing to guests.

We will make every reasonable effort to meet agreed-upon timelines; however, Event Things and Co. cannot be held responsible for circumstances outside our reasonable control, including courier delays, supplier shortages, severe weather, equipment issues or other unforeseen production disruptions.

15. Intellectual Property & Design

All original concepts, artwork, layouts and custom designs created by Event Things and Co. remain the intellectual property of Event Things and Co. unless otherwise agreed to in writing.

Designs may not be copied, reproduced, altered, resold or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

Event Things and Co. may photograph and share completed work for our portfolio, website, social media and other marketing purposes. If you would prefer that your project remain private, please let us know in writing before your event or project is shared.

16. Client-Provided Content

Clients are responsible for ensuring they have permission to use any photographs, artwork, monograms, logos, illustrations or other materials provided to Event Things and Co. for inclusion in a project.

By providing these materials, the client confirms that their use does not infringe upon the rights of another person, artist, photographer, designer or business.

17. Privacy

We respect the privacy of our clients and website visitors. Information submitted through our website or provided during the design process will be used to communicate with you, prepare your project and provide the services requested.

Certain information may need to be shared with trusted production or service partners when necessary to complete your order.

For additional information regarding how personal information is collected and handled, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

18. Website Content

We make every effort to ensure the information presented on our website is accurate and current. However, services, pricing, availability, materials and other information may change without notice.

Images displayed throughout our website are intended to showcase previous work and provide inspiration. Because our work is customized for each client, exact replication of a previous design may not always be available or appropriate.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Event Things and Co. will not be responsible for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from the use of this website or our services.

Our responsibility for any claim relating to a project will be subject to applicable law and any additional terms agreed upon as part of the client’s individual quote, invoice or service agreement.

20. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable laws of Canada.

Any dispute relating to these Terms, this website or our services will be subject to the applicable jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
